NNEP Shipping Discounts through Partnership

by Jennifer Cox on January 26, 2012

Good questionWe recently received an inquiry from a new NNEP member, asking how the NNEP shipping discounts work if she already has an account with FedEx.  Well, that is a good question!

Harry Centa is our Partnership contact, and here is the information he provided about how the member would proceed:

Good afternoon and thanks for your inquiry.  Yes, we strongly encourage all members with a FedEx account to still enroll in the program.  You can place your account number on the enrollment form, and we’ll contact FedEx to compare any existing discounts to the NNEP program.  Your account will automatically get linked to the NNEP rates if they are better.

Sales Letter – Another Solid Example

by Jennifer Cox on January 19, 2012

My inbox here at NNEP has been jammed packed here at the beginning of the year with sales letters from all sorts of people and companies that are hoping I will do business with them in 2012.  Many of them are so uninspired that I do not even finish them, yawn… delete.

And then, occassionally, I read one that is so well-crafted that I actually A) read the entire email; B) click on something within the email; C) seriously evaluate whether I have need or want for that product or service right now, or might in the future.

Now that is what I am talking about when I mean an effective sales letter!

None of this is NEW, none of this is unique.  But it is WELL DONE.  You do not need to reinvent the wheel.  Take what you want of the example provided below.  And then ACT ON IT – create you own, and get it out there by direct mail or email.

As always, our goal here at NNEP is to provide information that you can use immediately to help you grow your business and achieve your dreams.

Hope this is helpful!

Here is another example of a sales letter which I found effective:

Dear [insert first name of customer, or perhaps a generic header that could be somewhat tailored, such as "Business Owner"],
As the new year unfolds, so to do changes, possibilities and opportunities…[in image was inserted, a signpost that said "opportunity"]

Email Campaign That Works!

by Jennifer Cox on January 12, 2012

We receive a LOT of sales and marketing emails here at NNEP.  And I do mean A LOT of them.  This one came through today and for some reason, it just really captured my attention.  I think it is a great example of an effective mail to build your sales.

It is clean, clear and direct.  It offers value.  It identifies how you help them.  And asks if they have the time, which shows respect.  Writing good email copy is hard.  Simplify it, remove fluff, and get to the point.  They will work better!  Take what you want of it and create your next email or letter to send to potential customers.

Remember, it is our job as a business owner to put ourselves in front of the right people, with the right information at the right time. Read more…
