Right up front I probably should apologize for making you crave the amazing sea bass at Vernon’s. It was not fair to do that to you so, I am sorry. Really, if you are ever out that way, go to Vernon’s! Now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about what you can do to make doing business with you an experience that your customers want to repeat.
For starters, you generally have complete control over the physical environment of your business. What it looks like, how it smells, how samples are displayed, where you talk with customers, what they see when they look at your building, front door or windows.

Linked In Tips for NNEP Members
Linked In is more than a place to “look for employment.” It is a place where companies are looking for suppliers! Potential customers abound on Linked In! That being said, let’s do a bit of fine-tuning on your Linked In to maximize your profit, and improve the chances that A) potential customers will find you, and B) will chose you for their next order!
1) Collect Endorsements. Right now, there is no tool to request specific endorsements. But that does not mean we cannot work the system a bit. If you send me your Linked In profile URL, we will create a master list of them for NNEP members. Also include the keywords for which you want endorsements. I will send this list out to current NNEP members. If we each take 20-30 minutes, we can connect with each other, and we can endorse each other, creating stronger profiles en masse. Talk about putting the power of NNEP to work!
Here’s is my url as an example:
Please endorse me for any of the following:
- Trade Shows
- Small Business
- Event Planning
- Event Management
- New Business Development
- Strategic Planning
- Social Media Marketing
By default, when you receive an endorsement, LinkedIn sends you a notification message via email. This feature could quickly become annoying so here’s how to turn it off:
