NNEP Shipping Discounts through Partnership

by Jennifer Cox on January 26, 2012

Good questionWe recently received an inquiry from a new NNEP member, asking how the NNEP shipping discounts work if she already has an account with FedEx.  Well, that is a good question!

Harry Centa is our Partnership contact, and here is the information he provided about how the member would proceed:

Good afternoon and thanks for your inquiry.  Yes, we strongly encourage all members with a FedEx account to still enroll in the program.  You can place your account number on the enrollment form, and we’ll contact FedEx to compare any existing discounts to the NNEP program.  Your account will automatically get linked to the NNEP rates if they are better.

Please find attached the NNEP Shipping Program discount and enrollment information, or feel free to visit www.partnership.com/29NNEP .  Let me know if you have any questions, and we are looking forward to possibly helping you save more on your shipping.

Thank you,
Harry

Harry,

I have been a member of NNEP since 2005 but have yet to enroll in the Partnership program. I just wasn’t sure if I would benefit from it. I don’t really ship anything our but receive many packages from FedEx and UPS. Can this program bebefit me?
Thanks,

Robin

Hey there Robin – Good question!

First, you risk nothing by calling Partnership and having them review their program with you. They maybe able to suggest ways where you can reduce your costs.

Second- I learned something that many folks do not know – YOU can determine what shipper a supplier uses to send stuff to you, with many companies. If you elect to use a certain supplier, you may be able to have the shipper use your account number, and that could bring the potential savings into play. Each supplier handles this in their own way. I may be worth exploring!
