Thoughts on Living “Fully”

by Jennifer Cox on February 19, 2010

It is so easy to get lost in the daily details…

  • Are the kids up?  Someone forgot to set their alarm… Hi sleepy slug :)
  • Did everyone eat breakfast?
  • Running behind kiddo, need to hustle to make the bus, don’t forget to turn in that form…
  • What am I doing for lunch today?
  • Is there time to workout this morning?
  • Grab boots, it is supposed to snow again today… what did the kids wear on their feet?
  • Do I have what I need for dinner tonight – what IS for dinner tonight?
  • What is going on after school, and am I supposed to get any one any where?
  • What do I need to accomplish at work today?
  • Why did that guy not show up for the meeting, or call to let me know?
  • How am I going to get all this done by this afternoon? Time to crank it up…

Our lists and our lives go on and on…  Then I opened the following presentation, which was emailed to me by a friend… and the content was compelling enough to get me to pause, and really absorb the message and the images.

Thoughts on Living Fully

Living FULLY takes intent – it does not happen by accident.  So, today when the kids get off the bus, I’m going to hug them and tell them I think they are the best and how much I love them. Ditto when I see my husband.

I hope that every day I make the choice, to live FULLY to the best of my ability.  I will apply this to my work, in what I create and accomplish.  I will apply this in my relationships with family, co-workers and friends.

It is an interesting challenge, on both a personal and professional level, and it is one I look forward to.

Care to join me?

PS – I did not back-check the source, content or story in the presentation.  I just think it is “good stuff,” and that I could apply it in my life.

PSS – Thanks, Jay, for sending this to me… much appreciated
